  18. doing the boolean operation subtract, for one, does not 
  19. work unless you are working with what Modeler seems to
  20. think are two solids- i ran in to this problem when
  21. i *so diligently* removed lots of backfaces,un seen 
  22. polys, etc.. Before performing my boolean subtraction
  23. stuff :-( ...and had to add back all of the polys
  24. to successfully cut out what i wanted :-)
